Privacy Policy
Haverford Friends Meeting collects information about our users on this website for the following main reasons:
1. To provide a useful resource in the form of an online directory of users.
2. To make it easy for the Meeting and users to communicate with each other using email.
3. To provide a security mechanism so we can restrict access to certain content to certain groups of users.
4. To help us to improve the service we offer.
Our principles:
We are absolutely committed to protecting your privacy. Our policy can be summarized in one sentence: we will not share your information with any third party (other organizations or with people who are not registered users on this site) without your consent.
We have established the following four principles:
We will respect your privacy. You can choose whether we send you news (e.g. weekly newsletters, monthly bulletins and occasional announcements) or not.
You can choose how we communicate with you (telephone, email or postal mail).
We will not share information about you (including your email address) with any third party without obtaining your prior consent.
We will only allow individuals to register on this site who are members or attenders of Haverford Friends Meeting or those we ask to help maintain or provide technical support for the website.
What information do we collect?
When you register, you need to give us at a minimum your first and last name, an email address you control and a password. You can optionally enter your address, phone number(s) or family members so we can make our online address book richer and more useful. The information you provide must be correct.
On your Profile page in My Account, you can:
1. update any of your personal information
2. add or delete optional information (a photo of yourself, your address, family members)
3. change users’ access to your information
You may also send us an email at haverfordfriendsmeeting@msn.com to request access to or correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete all your personal information unless we delete your user account.
You are responsible for ensuring we have up-to-date contact information for you so we can alert you to changes in this Privacy Policy or changes in our Terms of Use.
We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.
How do we give you control over your information?
When you register, you can indicate whether other registered users will be able to access none of your information, only your email address, only your email address and phone number, or all the information in your profile.
